LaRose grabs trio of runner-up finishes at Southern Illinois Center

On Saturday and Sunday, Zander LaRose and two of his Spartan Transportation-backed RS12 Motorsports teammates took part in the Southern Illinois Kart Nationals. Each came away from the 1/6-mile indoor track at the Southern Illinois Center in DuQuoin with impressive results.

The Saturday portion of the event saw LaRose compete in both Junior Sprints and the RBox Winged Clone BP Green Plate (4-8 years old) class. In Junior Sprints, he finished as runner-up in his heat race and both started and finished second in the 20-lap A-Main. In his RBox Clone BP Green Plate kart, LaRose finished third in his heat before starting third and coming home second n the 12-lap feature.

On Sunday, LaRose elected to focus solely on his Junior Sprint. He took third in his heat race, then started third and finished in the second spot in the 20-lap main event.

Kruize Parson of RS12 Motorsports scored the A-Main win in the Junior Sprints class both days, while Presley Hall was fourth in both Junior Sprints features. Parson also nabbed a pair of feature victories in the Winged LO206 Black Slide (8-14 years old) class at the Southern Illinois Kart Nationals.
