Robards and LaRose take on Tulsa Shootout
Harrison Robards and Zander LaRose were part of a strong RS12 Motorsports contingent at Tulsa Expo Raceway in late December and early January as the new year began with the Tulsa Shootout.
Robards competed in both the 170-car Restricted ‘A’ Class and 404-car Winged A-Class programs in Oklahoma. He first hit the 1/5-mile indoor track on Wednesday, New Year’s Day, where he took third in his preliminary Restricted ‘A” Class race and sixth in Winged A-Class.
The next day, his Winged A-Class run ended in the second D-Feature when he came home fourth, two positions shy of a transfer spot.
On Friday, “Dirty Harry” turned in a seventh-place result in the third Restricted ‘A’ Class qualifier. He then started and finished fifth in Feature B2 during Driller Day on Saturday to bring his event to a close.
Meanwhile, Zander LaRose was one of 107 racers participating in Junior Sprints competition at the Tulsa Shootout. He kicked off his event by finishing seventh in his prelim race on Wednesday. On Friday, “Z-Man” finished sixth in his C-Feature to conclude his week.
